Conditions of sale for vendors

1. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse to accept particular lots and to withdraw, combine or split any items into lots as they see fit.
2. Until the fall of the hammer all lots are the vendors risk, they then become the risk of the purchaser.
3. No Gun will be offered for sale unless it is in current proof in accordance with the gun barrel proof acts of 1868 and 1950 and the current rules of 1925 and 1954.
4. UNSOLD LOTS will be charged at 2% of the reserve figure with a minimum charge of £5.00 per lot.
5. The Auctioneers commission fees will be charged at 12% of the hammer price with a MINIMUM commission rate of £5.00 per gun and £2.00 each for all lots.
6. A reserve price should be placed on each lot if required, otherwise lots will be offered without reserve. Reserves will only be accepted at £20.00 or more per lot.
7. Unless the Auctioneers are instructed otherwise unsold lots left with the auctioneers will be entered without reserve in the next available auction.
8. LATE ENTRIES will not normally be accepted within THREE WEEKS of the due date of the auction. If late entries are accepted by the auctioneers these will be charged a late fee of £10.00 per lot.
9. Lots entered may be brought to the sale rooms by the vendor on the morning of the Auction, in which case a full and accurate description will be required on the entry form for the catalogue. You will be sent lot numbers for each item.
10. Extra entry forms are available from the office on request.
11. WITHDRAWALS. Any lot withdrawn within 14 days before the date of the Auction will be charged at 10% of the reserve value.
12. A buyers commission of 12% will be charged at the Auction.
